Can I send gambling messages?
No — promotional gambling messages for international gaming websites, offshore operators, or unregulated gambling services are not permitted and will be blocked.
What is not allowed
Mobile Message does not allow promotional messages related to gambling, gaming, or wagering services that are not properly licensed and regulated in Australia. This includes:
- International or offshore gambling/casino websites
- Unregulated gaming or betting services
- Affiliate or referral links to gambling platforms
- Promotional content such as "bonus", "free spins", "join now", or similar offers for gambling services
Messages containing this type of content will be automatically blocked and will not be delivered.
What you will see if a message is blocked
If a gambling-related message is blocked, it will appear in your Message History with a status of Blocked.
Australian-licensed gambling operators
If your business is an Australian-licensed wagering or gambling operator, you may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Before sending any messages, you must:
- Contact our support team in advance
- Provide your licensing and regulatory details (e.g. licence number, issuing authority)
- Wait for approval before sending any gambling-related content
We will review your details and confirm whether your messages can be sent through the platform. Do not send gambling-related messages until you have received confirmation from our team.
