Can I send SMS messages from my own number?

Yes. You can send SMS messages from your own mobile number using Mobile Message.

To do this, go to Settings > Sender IDs and select Add Own Number. As part of the setup, you’ll be asked to complete a verification step to confirm that you own the number. Once verification is complete, your number will be available as a sender option.

Messages sent this way appear to recipients exactly as if they were sent from your phone. They will show up in the same message thread as any existing messages they already have with your number.

Important: Replies work differently when using your own number. If the recipient replies, their message goes directly from their phone to your phone. That reply will not appear in your Mobile Message account, as it bypasses the platform entirely.

There is no additional cost to use your own number as a sender.

Please note that we cannot port your number to us. Your number must remain active with your existing mobile provider.
