How to get your free dedicated number
A dedicated number is an Australian mobile number assigned exclusively to your account. When you send messages from this number, recipients can reply directly, and those replies appear in your Messenger. Every account gets one free dedicated number after making their first credit purchase.
Who is eligible
To claim your free dedicated number, you need to have made at least one credit purchase. Each account receives one free number — if you need additional dedicated numbers, these can be purchased separately.
How to claim your number
- Go to Settings > Sender IDs
- Click Get Free Dedicated Number
Completing the form
The claim form asks for:
- Choose Your Free Dedicated Number — select from a list of available numbers
- Friendly label (optional) — a name to help you identify this number, such as "Sales line" or "Appointments". Only visible to you.
You'll also need to provide some personal details required by Australian telecommunications law:
- Your full name — must be a personal name, not a business name
- Date of birth
- Service address — the physical address where you'll primarily use the number (no PO boxes)
This information is required by law and is never shared with your customers or made public.
After claiming
Once claimed, your dedicated number:
- Appears in your Sender IDs list as a "Dedicated Number"
- Is automatically set as your default sender
- Can receive replies, which appear in your Messenger
Keeping your number active
Your free dedicated number stays on your account as long as you keep using it. To keep it active, send at least one message from the number every six months.
