How to remove failed numbers from your list

After sending messages, some numbers may come back as failed — meaning the message could not be delivered. These are typically disconnected or invalid numbers. You can remove them from future sends by adding them to your Unsubscribes list, so you won't be charged any credits the next time you send a message to them.

Step 1: Export the failed numbers from History

  1. Go to History in the main menu
  2. Use the Status dropdown to filter by Not Delivered (or the relevant failed status)
  3. If needed, use the Date Range picker to narrow the results to a specific send
  4. Click Export Excel to download the filtered results

The exported spreadsheet will contain all the failed messages, including the recipient phone numbers.

Step 2: Copy the phone numbers

Open the exported spreadsheet and copy the list of phone numbers from the recipient column.

Step 3: Add the numbers to your Unsubscribes list

  1. Go to Contacts > Unsubscribes
  2. Click Bulk Manage Numbers
  3. Paste the list of phone numbers into the text box
  4. Select Add numbers to Unsubscribes
  5. Confirm the action

Once added, these numbers will be automatically skipped on future sends, so you won't be charged any credits for them.

Why unsubscribe instead of deleting?

Adding failed numbers to your Unsubscribes list is better than simply deleting them from your contacts. If you delete a contact, the number could be re-imported later and you'd be charged again for a message that won't be delivered. Unsubscribing the number ensures it is always blocked from future sends, regardless of whether the number appears in your contact lists.
